With over 27 years of leadership in Africa’s business, development, and educational sectors, Dr. Hassan Bashir has founded and scaled 16 companies across insurance, technology, healthcare, and livestock farming. He has advised industry regulators, universities, and private firms on insurance, risk management, climate risk, governance, and strategy.
Currently, he is a Senior Consultant on Climate Insurance and Governance at AfDB and teaches leadership, governance, and sustainable social entrepreneurship at USIU-Africa’s Chandaria School of Business. Dr. Bashir is a dedicated social entrepreneur and scholar who promotes the integration of research, enterprise value creation, socioeconomic development, and good governance.
