Masresha Taye, a Climate Insurance Specialist in Agri-Food Systems, is a practitioner engaging in development, research, and policy initiatives related to climate insurance, disaster risk financing, and innovative financial solutions in fragile and conflict-affected regions in Africa.
Masresha’s climate insurance involvement ranges from product development, climate insurance ecosystem design, resource mobilisation, and stakeholder management to policy engagement and research across East, West, and Southern Africa, including parts of the Sahel region. He holds a PhD in international development from the UK’s Institute of Development Studies (IDS).
