Salaheddine AJI currently serves as the General Director (CEO) at the Moroccan Federation of Insurance (FMA). He joined FMA in May 2019 as Deputy General Director and was subsequently promoted to the role of General Director in June 2023. He contributed to major projects in the Moroccan Insurance market, such as catastrophic risks coverage and solvency-based risk (SBR).
With over 23 years of professional experience, Salaheddine began his career in the oil and telecom industries in France before taking a significant turn towards the insurance sector. At Caisse Centrale de Réassurance in Paris (CCR), he held the position of Senior Catastrophe Modeler, focusing on the development of evaluation models for Natural Catastrophe damages, particularly related to flooding and subsidence. Subsequently, he held the position of Director of Risks at Société Centrale de Réassurance (SCR) in Casablanca, where he was later promoted to Executive Director, acting as the Chief Risk & Technical Officer, where he implemented the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework.
Before his role at the Moroccan Federation of Insurance, Salaheddine served as a Regional Chief Risk Officer at Allianz Africa Financial Services, where he played a key role in establishing the risk policy for Allianz’s subsidiaries across Africa.
Salaheddine AJI is also a member of the executive committee of the GAIF and a member of the life committee of the AIO.
He holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Science in Fez.
