Kenneth S. Matomola

Kenneth S. Matomola is the Chief Executive Officer of the Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority (NAMFISA).   Previously he held various positions in NAMFISA (Acting CEO, Assistant CEO: Supervision, General Manager: Investment Institutions, General Manager: Research, Policy & Statistics), at  First National Bank (Manager: Regulatory Reporting), and Bank of Namibia (various positions in Banking Supervision Department).  His professional interests lie in financial regulations and supervision, and market development.

Mr Matomola is the current Chairperson of the Committee of Insurance, Securities and Non-banking Financial Authorities (CISNA), a substructure of the Southern African Development Community (SADC). He also serves on the Executive Committee of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS).

Mr Matomola is a Council Member of the Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism and Proliferation Council and serves on the Board of the Namibia Deposit Guarantee Authority.

Mr. Matomola holds an MSc. in Financial Economics from the University of London, a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Namibia, and an Advance Diploma in Central Banking from the Institute of Bankers South Africa. He further completed the Senior Leadership Development Programme with the University of Cape Town and the Senior Executive Programme – Africa, with the Harvard Business School.
