Sory joined the Santam Group at an opportune period of repositioning its international ambition, with Santam Re and International expected to play a pivotal role in the international growth strategy.
Sory is an insurance industry professional with more than 20 years of experience in the area of reinsurance. More importantly, he brings with him a wealth of experience working in diverse and multi-cultural territories across the world.
He was the Director for North, East, and West Africa with Swiss Re based in Zurich, Switzerland, and also held Senior Management and Director roles with Allianz, Africa Re and the Saham Group, amongst others.
Sory holds BCom and MS degrees in Actuarial Sciences, and a Global Executive MBA from the IE Business School Madrid.
